From today, this Blog becomes our Unofficial Essex RFUW site and is there to raise the profile of Girls & Womens Rugby in our County.
Unfortunately certain smallminded people did not appear to like the fact that the old blog showed the County logo or used the Essex "Anthem" in its title. The new title and the omision of a logo puts paid to their petty complaints.
Another critisism was that it appeared biased towards 1 or 2 clubs, unfortunately as the only information being sent in was from 1 or 2 clubs, it may well have appeared slightly biased. However at no time has any club or person been denied access to the site to post their reports, photos or even publicise an event taking place.
If these people put more effort into your development rather than bigging up their own positions then we would really be a force to be reckoned with in County Rugby.

We ask that the articles are a true and fair view of events and that a positive view point of rugby is reported on at all times. Only articles deemed to have a proactive and positive approach will be published.
So get writing and raise the profile of your club so we can help to raise awareness of the great things going on in the women and girls game.
The Committee hope to use this blog to inform clubs of information regarding training opportunities available and events that are coming up.
Please use the blog to further our cause, raise awareness and assist with our endeavour to take the game forward. We want to see everyone in the game develop and move forward, volunteers and players, spectators and participants.

You have my sympathy - criticism is so much easier isn't it? The number of times I have wanted to shout "if you think you can do it better start your own damn blog!".
My solutions? A carefully worded statement on the Letchworth blog relating to RFU Regulation 5 (which was written by someone who had clearly never heard of blogs), and offering editorial access to any Herts club that wanted to post things directly onto the Herts blog.

I will include the statement similar to you did re RFU reg 5.
However it probably wont satisfy those small minded people who dont actually want to do anything to promote girls Rugby, as they appear to live in a little world of their own.
As you say "if you think you can do better",
The problem with that though is that people are happy to get involved where they get recognition but not where it means getting their hands dirty.
Also where people from a certain club may wish to whine or complain that the site is biased towards other clubs, all they need to do is submit something for publication.
You cant please everyone all the time but at least we are trying.
You are doing great work to advert for girls and ladies games. It's our duty to bring girls games in limelight and help them to improve there skills. event staff essex
