Friendships

This season has been a success both on and off the field for "Basford"
not only has the unofficial merger of the two girls sides reaped great rewards, but some lasting friendships have been made.

Earlier in the season we had the pleasure of hosting Melbourne ladies who travelled down for the weekend and despite some inclement weather both teams played some fantastic rugby, and then enjoyed the clubs hospitality with a band,disco and buffet.

We have also travelled some considerable distances this season to play games and have been made welcome wereever we have played.
Thanks to Reading, Witney, Welwyn, Hertford, Saracens, and all the others we have had the pleasure of meeting and playing against this season.

Also a big thank you should go to all those girls who have helped us out this season when we have been short of players through injury or other.
Our new friends over at Spalding who rang to ask if we could accomodate some of their girls when they could not field a full side. Thank you without your help we may not have made it so far!!!

Good luck to all the clubs and heres to another good year in 2007-8.
