Clacton Beach Festival

A big thanks to Andrew and the team for making last weekend such an enjoyable one.
Despite the weather, the Clacton Beach Festival was a great success.
Around 24 teams braved the rain to have fun and take part in a great days rugby.
Our own teams from Basford, didnt do too bad, with the U17 "Basford Bags" (aided by Joe and Gary) winning the bowl competition.
The U14 "Basford Babes" won the spoon competition, however the old boys "Basford Bombers" lived up to their name and "bombed out in the plate semi final.
Basford Babes Megan, Yasmin, Alice, Layla, Alex, Kat, Splat, Master Toby, Jackie
Basford Bags Natalie, Sarah C, Cherelle, Sarah MCB, Sam, Gemma, Gary, Joe, Sophie, Emily
Basford Bombers Gavin, Simon, Paul, Mark, Dominic, Darren, Peter, Phil,
Despite the weather, many of our intrepid bunch braved the elements and camped for the weekend near Colchester.
A big thanks to Darren and Paula for organising the camping and to Pete and Tina for the food over the weekend.
Pete the BBQ'S were ACE.
